Squee! Today is my first time joining in with the Tuesdays With Dorie group in baking fresh, from scratch, desserts and baked goods using the cookbook Baking: From My Home to Yours by Dorie Greenspan
This week’s recipe was chosen by Melissa of It’s Melissa’s Kitchen and she even posted the recipe on her site for us. This was a decadent chocolate delight. Very rich and although the recipe called for using the food processor, I did not (mine was lost in our move) and it turned out wonderfully. Notice my not-so-fancy ‘ramekins’: they are Gladware minis and were the perfect 1/2 cup size for pudding, and with their own lids, I did not need to use plastic wrap to avoid ‘pudding skin’.
So after what seemed like a grueling wait, with the children asking me every 5 minutes if the pudding was ready – it finally was. So I topped each with some whipped cream and shaved chocolate. Emily (7), smiled as she finished her last spoonful and said, “I feel like I’ve died and gone to heaven.” I think she likes it! ![]()
