This is a common meal at our house – easy and inexpensive. It’s not fancy fare by any stretch – but my family loves it.
Traci’s Crockpot Chicken
1 whole chicken, rinsed well
Herbs of your choice. I use rosemary & basil
Salt & pepper
2 cubes of chicken bullion (optional)
Place chicken in crockpot, add herbs/seasonings of your choice, plus bullion. Cover and cook on high 4 hours or until chicken is well done.
After the chicken is done, I often use some of the liquid from cooking the chicken to make my mashed potatoes. It gives a nice flavor to the potatoes.
