Tonight I’m making this wonderful dish not only for my family, but for a family in our church that just had a baby.
Tis yummy good and not the least bit diet-friendly.
I got the original recipe from my church’s cookbook (which you can buy on the web site for Word of Life Church ), but I adapted it slightly, below is my version of the original.
Chicken Fettuccine Alfredo
1 – 8 oz pkg cream cheese, cut into chunks
1 1/2 cups Parmesan cheese, grated
1 c. butter
2 cups half & half
16 oz fettuccine, cooked and drained
2 tsp. garlic powder
2-4 cups chicken, cooked and cubed (adjust to suit how much chicken you prefer, and how many you are feeding)
In stockpot, boil chicken to cook – remove chicken from water, then add noodles to same water and cook until done; drain. While noodles are cooking, in large saucepan or dutch oven, over med-low heat combine cream cheese, Parmesan, butter, half and half and garlic powder – stirring until smooth and heated through. Pour sauce over noodles, mix in diced chicken and toss lightly. Serve with salad and garlic bread.

Hi Traci! We just bought a me-and-two-girlies sized crockpot today (my hubby gave me the $ to buy it for my birthday today). I wonder if you could do this in a crock pot. Hmmmm…curious minds want to know!
Have a wonderful Thursday!!
Hi Traci!
I made a recipe very similar to this when Sandy and Chris were out. It was delicious!
