My Weatherbug is telling me it’s currently 98 degrees at the Sullivan Middle School, with a heat index of 106. I believe it! My children have spent the entire day in the pool. We have a small, softside pool that’s about 2.5 feet or so deep and 8 feet around. It has a pump filter thingy on it and it’s quite nice. The best part is it sits on the concrete patio under the deck and it’s fully in shade and out of the heat of the sun.
Yes, we were usin’ our noggins when we placed that.
With the children otherwise engaged, I was able to get some things done around here. I did have to watch them/listen for them, but they have done very well. Tomorrow is supposed to be even hotter than today, so as soon as Mark gets home, I heading to the grocery store tonight, so I don’t have to take the children out to the store tomorrow.
Well, sit down time is over, I need to keep moving to get all done today I need to.

Be sure that pool stays setup for the weekend because I may have to park in it while I’m there
It was about 93F here yesterday, and in parts of England it hit 97F, which made it the hottest July day ever in the UK.
wish we had a pool!
Enjoy it.
