Yes, it’s been another one of those days, and it’s just past noon!
Daycare baby “D” is teething and has a cold and bad cough – his cough is waking him up, and then woke up daycare baby “B”. They’ve had two naps this morning, neither lasting more than 30 minutes (normally one of these naps would have been 1-2 hours!), and neither of those 30 minute naps were without me having to rock at least one of the boys to try and keep them asleep. Obviously that didn’t work. They are FUSSY! They are normally such good little boys – so this is really out of character for them, and I know it’s nothing serious (“D”s momma took him to the doctor Monday, and it’s just a cold and teething), the two of them crying and fussing all morning is makin’ this grammy tired! I’m feelin’ my age today.
So at this moment, they have been fed lunch and are actually content watching their favorite video: Baby Faith: God Made Music. YAY! I see them relaxing in their Fisher Price rocker chairs (I love those chairs!!) and soon they will be ready for Grammy to rock them to sleep once again.
I’m praying this afternoon is a lot more peaceful and the boys finally get a decent nap!
1:30 pm Update: Both boys are now sleeping, although “D” just had another coughing fit, but I managed to get him to lay back down and to sleep without me having to actually rock him. Poor baby has a horrible cough! The boys fall asleep here at Grammy’s house listening to the Whisper CD (click the link to hear samples of the CD, and order it from Amazon if you’d like!), the same as my young children did as babies and toddlers. I highly recommend this soothing CD.
A Calgon Kinda Day..again
