Oooooo - look at this lovely sewing cutting table I happened upon today. WOW! It’s a wee bit expensive, but hey - if you can afford that, I say go for it! It looks very nicely made, completely with a cutting mat. It looks very, very much like my sewing cutting table.
If the above option is a bit out of your price range, I do have a page of other more affordable sewing cutting table options I’ve found on the web. Perhaps one of those might work for you. 
I love my sewing table!! Squeeeee!!!!! It made a day of sewing soooo much easier with no stooping to cut. I’m telling you - if you do not have a sewing cutting table, you must get one. Trust me - it’s worth the expense.
I made six belly-bands for my boys today. Belly-bands (see photo - click to see a large version), are to prevent male dogs from marking in the house. So when they are inside, you have the bands on, when they need to go outside to potty, you remove the bands. 
As you can see by the photo, I made some in Christmas prints, one in a blue and white paw print and one in a tye-dye, but you can’t see it very well in the photo. They didn’t take me very long at all to make; as I serged the edges, and used sew-on velcro.
It just dawned on me that I never posted the final pictures of the finished rag quilt! My friend Kathy ended up making this for me! :D It turned out lovely!!!!
This was her first attempt at a rag quilt and she was pretty new at quilting, so we learned a few things in making this quilt, namely about contrast and organizing colors and such - but still, it turned out nice and I love it.
