Can ya feel the love?

Well, see the love – with my new theme?! :D This Friday is February first, and I’m getting a jumpstart on a new Valentine’s theme. My anniversary happens to be Valentine’s Day – and we fondly call it our Vale-versary. ;) [ Yes, that's Mark and I in the photo at the top of the page. :D ]

I sure hope I got all my sidebar thingies added and put in place. I do not use widgets, because much of what I use it custom, so widgets won’t work so well for me – so I hand-code (okay, copy and paste the code) the sidebar stuff. Whew! I think I got it all. If you think I missed anything – let me know. :)

A Wedding – Part 2

A few more photos and details for you this morning. First, it was a lovely day – which was the exact opposite of the day before for the rehearsal dinner, which was the equivalent of a monsoon! However, the torrential rains of Thursday brought in absolutely perfect weather for the wedding on Friday. July in Missouri is usually very hot and very humid – so to have a day that was neither was truly a gift from God! Now add to that we show up at the church on Friday to learn that the air condition was broken and we knew it was a gift from God!! I can not imagine how miserable we could have been otherwise – thank you Lord!!!! Then my brilliant daughter had the idea months ago to hand out fans to all of the lady guests, of course, not knowing any of the weather/air conditioning issues – so it all worked out beautifully! :D

The only minor issue was we were short one boutonnière, so some quick thinking and we made one from the altar flowers and used it on the groom even! Yes, we’re brave souls (no sticking our last minute creation on an usher!) and no one was the wiser – not even the bride. ;)

The ceremony itself was traditional and beautiful. The church had lovely stained glass windows. I did not get as many photos myself as I would have liked – so those will have to wait until we get those back from the photographer. I also did not get a photo of their ride for the evening – a Rolls Royce!! She opted for that over a regular limo – it was a lovely white Rolls. Just perfect!!

Now for a few more photos:
