My Pastor’s wife informs me this morning that today is Grandparent’s Day.  This must be a newer holiday, one that I’ve never participated in on the sending end, and never actually been on the receiving end (at least not yet anyway).  Do you celebrate Grandparent’s Day?  What do you do to celebrate?  Cards?  Flowers? Gifts?  Get togethers?

My Pastor’s daughter actually bought gifts similar to a ‘Grandparents Shower’, with extra diapers, clothes and pacifier, etc… for the grandparent to keep at her house for when the grandbaby comes over; and then for a more personal gift, got the grandparent an outfit for herself.  I say forget the outfit and get me some chocolate!!  (but that’s just me! )

Yep, I’m going to be a Grammy again!!!  SQUEE!!  My son Tom, and my daughter-in-law Jenny, called this evening with the news that they are expecting their first child.  They’re due in April 2009.    I’m very excited!!

And not to slight my first grandbaby, Miss Lilly, here’s a photo I took of her this past Monday when I got to watch her for the day.
