Well, LisaMarie Mary tagged me for this. I don’t know if there are seven odd and interesting things about me; but I’ll do my best to wow and amaze you with strange oddities about myself.
1. I have this an aversion to certain food textures. It’s the reason why I don’t like coconut and strawberries: it’s the texture of coconut and the seeds in the strawberries I don’t like – not the taste of them.
2. I have this weird internal clock that won’t allow me to sleep during the day, nor to sleep in late. I’m wired as a morning person, tired or not, and get up every day at nearly the exact same time – without an alarm clock. I hate alarm clocks!
3. I technically qualify as a legal minority Native American (couldn’t you tell through my auburn hair and blue eyes?!), but getting the documentation to prove that has been difficult. My dad qualified for free lunches and his family for reservation land, as my grandfather was half – three-fourths Wyandotte. On my mother’s side, my great-great-great grandmother was a Cherokee Indian Princess! So yes, I AM royalty!
4. I hate wearing shoes! And since I’m way older than Carrie Wilkerson (aka: the Barefoot Executive), I think that true title is mine. hehe
5. I sit in the front row in church (or even when I was in school), because I get easily distracted by what’s going on around me. Yes, I’m a visual learner.
6. I can not stand to leave my bed unmade. Thankfully, since my husband is usually the last one out of the bed, he does make it every day.
7. My favorite comfort food whenever I’m sick, or just because, is beef stew. My mother always made that for me as my favorite meal, and she still will to this day! I make my stew just like my mom always does. YUM!
Okay – not terribly odd or interesting, but seven things about me none-the-less.
Now I’m tagging these ladies, as I would love to learn some odd and interesting things about them:
Sylvia Britton
Linda Reddoch
Wardeh Harmon
Tanya (chocolatechic)
Eren McKay
My rambling observations on menopause, as one who has lived it for the past almost 6 years.
Menopause….
Yes, there are many things about menopause that suck. There are also some good things (believe it or not); but I can’t remember any of them at the moment. I’m having a ‘personal summer’ and it’s melting the chocolate in my hand, so I best close before I nod off at the keyboard and I wake up and forget where I am and what the point was to this rambling.
