A welcome message from Traci…

I began this site in 1997. Over the years, it grew to be quite large. I had pages on all seven of my children, all the dogs we’ve had over the years, homemaking, my Christian faith, my various convictions in our we lived our life, my hobbies and just about everything in between! 
It grew into its own ministry. In 2003, I moved all the ministry aspects of this site to its own domain: Titus 2 Ministries.
Then in 2005, at the leading of the Lord, my dear friend Sylvia (who had a web site called Christian Homekeeper) and I merged our two sites into a new site entitled: Titus 2 Christian HomeKeeper (T2CHK). T2CHK is where Sylvia and I (along with our administrative team) continued to mentor Christian women in their roles as wives and mothers until summer 2008 when, with the return of homeschooling for our family, I knew that God was calling me to step down as administrator from T2CHK, and I left the ministry in Sylvia’s very capable hands.
A brief bio on me, for those who are new to Traci’s Cottage and want to know more; I am a born-again Christian wife and mother of seven. I live near St. Louis, Missouri with my husband Mark and three of my children who are still at home. My children are: Lyndsay (27 – married to Ben); Thomas (25 – and married to Jenny); Heather (22 – and married to Matthew – and parents of my granddaughter Lilly); Zachary (stillborn into the arms of Jesus in March 1998); Samuel (9); Emily (8) and Hannah (6). Zachary, Samuel, Emily & Hannah were all born to us after I had a tubal ligation reversal in 1997 (Read my Tubal Reversal Testimony). We are extremely blessed beyond words that we have these littlest of our blessings.
Another tidbit of info about me: I had Roux-en-Y Gastric Bypass Surgery (weight loss surgery or WLS) on July 27, 2004 and lost, and have maintained, a 100 pound weight loss.
I have a few hobbies that I enjoy – namely, my dogs. I adore dogs, well all animals really, but especially dogs. I had been a hobby dog breeder, but health issues forced me to give that up. At present I have two Shih Tzu: Bear and Jack; and four Cavalier King Charles Spaniels: Charlie, Henry, George and Hope. We also have two cats: MacGuyver (Mac) and Moses (Moe).
I have a web design business that I have worked from home since 1999; whereby I take only a few new design jobs each year. Obviously web design is something I love and continue to do.
I also enjoy sewing, cold process soap making, reading, gardening and bargain shopping. I seem to go back and forth between these things as the mood suits me, and I have time to enjoy them.
I sum my interests up like this:

My Calling: Wife, mother and homeschooling parent
My Hobbies: dogs, soapmaking, sewing, reading and bargain shopping
All together it makes for a very well rounded life for me. I LOVE IT!
