I am an encourager. I am a people person and I love to make people smile – even laugh! I have overcome extreme shyness and self-esteem issues to be the real me that God created me to be. It is often the smallest gestures, or a single kind word that can make someone’s day.
“We have different gifts, according to the grace given us. If a man’s gift is… encouraging, let him encourage” Romans 12:8
If you follow me on Twitter, you know I am very chatty. I have been dubbed ‘The Quiet One’ in one mastermind business group I’m in, because I am not shy to take the mic and speak.
Every morning on Twitter, I share virtual coffee with those in my tweetstream. I share tunes with them either via blip.fm or more recently through grooveshark.com. I ask the question, How are YOU today? because I really want to know how they are doing! I’m not chatting to hear myself, I’m chatting to interact and to truly inquire about others. I keep a notebook here at my desk and jot down prayer requests and other important things that come across my tweetstream I don’t want to forget – so next time I interact with that person, I can remember the details. I care about people and try to help when I can.
Offline, I do my ‘Shock & Awe for .25 Cents‘ each week at Aldi when I go grocery shopping. I interact with people wherever I go. A compliment. A smile. All genuine and sincere – yet so rarely seen these days. A smile is free to share and have you noticed how once you do – it’s usually returned?!
Watch this video to see how encouragement shared impacts the lives of so many.

Absolutely – I love sharing smiles. I certainly didn’t years ago, though. but, praise God, I do now. I was thinking about this the other day, formulating a blog post about it. Too funny.
