I think Ed needs a 12-step program to overcome his iPhone obsession. Ed’s fever-like pitch that ensued prior to the release of the iPhone was a bit funny, but hey – the guy is into gadgets.
I just use my phone for making the occasional phone call; Ed’s iPhone has become an appendage. Ed, it’s just a phone!
Okay, so I’m teasing Ed a bit. I like Ed – I really do. But I have to say, he’s one smart marketer, because this PC girl is seriously considering a Mac AND an iPhone! I even went to my local ATT/Cingular office to see if I could get an iPhone on my plan. They did not have them, and wasn’t clear if I could go get one elsewhere and connect it to my service; but I did look at a couple iPhone wannabes. I’m impressed at what phones are now capable of doing. It’s mind boggling to me, especially the ability to have ’song ID’ where the phone will ‘listen’ to a song on the radio or whatever, and will then find you not only the title of that song, but list places where you can buy it! Impressive – now if the phone can tell me where I left my car keys, I’m set.
So this morning, Ed posts this new video about podcasting; and in that video he said something that sold me hook line and sinker for getting an iPhone. He said that very soon, iPhones will have the ability to download podcasts from the air waves – you will not need to hook them up to the computer to download your podcasts (music, video, etc…) – it will pick it up like wi-fi!!!!!!!! Wow! To not have to sit and connect the phone to download the information is HUGE! Not to mention uber cool!
So, now I need to figure out how I can get my iPhone – where do I get it. I’m locked into my current cell phone plan, as I renewed this summer. I need a windfall of cash I guess, because iPhones aren’t cheap and neither are Macs. One more thing to pray about I suppose. It’s a want, not a need – but it would be a very helpful and useful want.
So how many of you have an iPhone? Do you love it, hate it or something in between? Is it all that and a bag of chips like Ed Dale thinks it is?
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~I wish there was a way to quantify Ed’s effect on Apple, and show it to a Steve Jobs, or other Apple Chief.
They owe the man.
More importantly, (and why he does it), the benefit to his followers who can adapt technology as he teaches.
The hours he’s saves hard working families is a gift.
I will pray Traci, that extra abundance comes to you, that fills your stocking! ![]()
Best,
Ed Shaz
I agree, Ed’s effect on Apple’s sales must be tremendous. Maybe I should roll hubby’s 401K over into Apple AND 30DC stocks.
Thanks Traci – I actually have a back-up iPhone just sitting there waiting in case there is an issue with my first one!!!
LOL TWO iPhones! See, I was right: 12-step program time for you mister. I’ll take one of those iPhones now, it’s for your own good.
Seriously Ed, you know I love ya. Thanks for all you do.
P.S. for those reading, Ed Dale is *the* man of the Thirty Day Challenge http://thirtydaychallenge.com
