I first saw the Duggars on tv while visiting family in Canada last year and I've seen it a few times here in the U.K. Although I don't think the entire series have ever aired here. I can't say I agree with the "unlimited children" philosophy, I do admire their courage and conviction in raising a family very differently from what the norm is today. Their children are bright, intelligent, respectful and especially, happy.

It can't be easy, holding onto values that Society has long since discarded. A world where people are more likely to know the cost of everything and the value of nothing. I say good luck and God bless to them and those who follow a similar path in life.

I really enjoy this show. I have three kids and one of them is autistic so I have experienced life with a special need child and two that are not, every child is different and is going to have their own individual charcteristics. Michelle and Jim Bob will be able to handle Josie whether she is special needs or otherwise. Yes I would love for my son to not be autistic but that was the way God made him and I love him as I love my other two-unconditionally. And that is the way that Jim Bob and Michelle will do if Josie ends up being that way. And besides-they have plenty of experience with children.

Just this week I watched some episodes filmed a few years ago when the Duggars visited El Salvador. I have a sponsored child in El Salvador, whom I will never meet, because the money that I could spend on airfare and other costs to visit El Salvador, I'm going to donate it to her charity so that she can be enrolled in school and finish high school and then university.
