Gas prices are down here (at this MOMENT), but the cost of living is still high. Many are clipping coupons, going “green” and even making their own household cleaners to try and save money as discussed on my other thread with money saving tips. One of the comments in that thread was from Hezra and she mentioned that she was making her own homemade laundry and dishwasher detergents.
