I’m not baking this week’s treat of cherry-rhubarb cobbler, as I tried to find rhubarb and could not. I’ve had rhubarb a time or two and it isn’t my favorite, but I was going to bake this anyway. I saw that others were substituting, but I opted not to.

Also, with the heat being what it is (heat index of over 100), and my central a/c practically not working at all (and the repairman said it will be FOUR WEEKS before they can come and replace our system), I won’t be turning the oven on to bake much.

I’m praying for another cool day before next week, so I can make next week’s recipe that Michelle from Michelle in Colorado Springs selected -Summer Fruit Galette
