Saturday, June 28, 2008 was our first official day of vacation and we started it off with a bang:  a trip to Six Flags St Louis.  Not only did we get to enjoy the park, rides and fun - but the Christian band ThirdDay was in concert at the Old Glory Theater at Six Flags; and we had tickets to that too.  Squee!!!!!!!!!

Here’s a family photo (note, this was after our trip on The Tidal Wave ride, and we got soaked!):

After several hours of riding the rides, we got to enjoy the ThirdDay concert in the evening.

We ended our Six Flags excursion with a ride on Tony Hawk’s TailSpin.  Well, that put Mark and I both in a tailspin and the end result wasn’t so good for me.  I was literally sick after all that spinning.  So much so, that it’s now early evening on Day 2 of vacation, and I’m still in my jammies. ( Yeah - that kinda sick. )

So Vacation Day 2, will have no photo memories; but was well spent relaxing as a family - resting up for what’s to come the rest of the week.   This ‘old gray mare just ain’t what she used to be’ and I can see now that frequent napping will be needed for this vacation.
