Goodness, what ’social’ week I’ve had. First, I have switched my web browser to Flock. Yeah, I hadn’t heard of it either until this weekend. But if you are the social networking type, you must get Flock! It powered by Mozilla, the same search engine that powers FireFox; so it’s just as awesome as FF, but created for those who use social networking ’stuff’; such as, Facebook and Twitter.
Speaking of Twitter, that’s another new social networking application that I’ve started using this past week. It’s sort of like an instant messaging system where you post updates/blurbs/comment bubbles in 140 characters or less: these short posts are called “Tweets”. You can post about anything, like what you’re doing at that moment, what you’re thinking or a link to a site or your blog post, or you can post a cool site you’ve found or a specific article. And if you use FriendFeed.com, it will automatically ‘tweet’ your latest post on their web site, and all those who are ‘following you’ via Twitter, will also get notice that you posted to your blog.
So check out these new cool social apps; I’m sure soon you’ll be all Twitterpated and Flocking to get the latest in cool web browser technology. Once you do, feel free to look me up on either, my username is tknoppe for all. ![]()
Hey, Traci, have you figured out which Twitter plugin works best for WP 2.6 ?? The one I’ve tried doesn’t work (Twitter Tools) and there are so many others, I don’t know which to try next. Thanks! Love,Wardeh
I use Twhirl http://www.twhirl.org/
Do you use Twitter? Follow me at http://twitter.com/tknoppe
Well, I just started. I wanted to be able to put short little things on my blog, like Facebook has. I think I’ve got Twitter Tools working now, though. I’ll go look at twirl.org. Thanks! My twitter is twitter.com/suchtreasures.
Love, Wardeh
