What else do you do on a snowy day - bake cookies of course! :) Here’s my helper for this batch, my 6 year old Hannah.
We still plan to make either peppermint chunk chip and/or butterscotch chip cookies too. Sam and/or Emily will help me with those.
Here’s my recipe for Oatmeal Raisin Cookies (which is my Mark’s favorite cookie)
1 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 1/4 C firmly packed brown sugar
1/2 C sugar
2 eggs
2 t. milk
1 t. cinnamon
1/4 t. nutmeg
1 3/4 C flour
1 baking soda
1/2 t. salt
2 1/2 C quick oats
1 C raisins
Preheat oven to 375. Beat butter, or margarine, and sugars until creamy. Add eggs, milk and vanilla, beat well. Add flour, baking soda, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg, mix well. Stir in oats and raisins. Drop by rounded teaspoonful onto ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 9-11 minutes for chewy; or 12-13 minutes for crisp. Cool 5 minutes, then remove from cookie sheet to paper towels to continue to cool completely.
