It’s getting to be that time of year, when we think about spring cleaning on the T2CHK board. Sylvia usually spear-heads this event each year. I admit, I usually never follow her schedule, as I ‘march to the beat of a different drummer’ if you will and because of my scheduling issues, and my own way of doing things, I adhere to my own spring cleaning schedule - but if you want something in very organized, detailed and in writing, please visit either the T2CHK web site, or join the board and join us for the Spring Clean ‘08 event.
This year’s event is going to be a bit different than in the past: they’re using ‘green cleaners’, meaning, environmentally friendly cleaners with the emphasis on homemade green cleaners (yes, recipes will be posted). However, if you’re like me and time is not something in abundance for you, you might want to check out the new line of green cleaners at Walmart called Green Works. Believe it or not, this line is produced by Clorox, but is reported to be at least 99% natural ingredients (like coconut and lemon oils). I plan to get some when I go shopping this week and give them a try.
All that said: these next two weeks I will be doing my own version of a modified spring clean here at The Cottage. I have a family event being held here on Palm Sunday. I have some organizing and deep cleaning that I need to do between now and then. I won’t necessarily be removing all the curtains in every room and doing all of that, but concentrating on key areas that are bugging me and that I know need attention, polishing things and shampooing carpets. Thus the ‘modified’ part of all that.
If your house needs a good spring cleaning, then why don’t you join us on the message board, or at least stop by the T2CHK web site to follow along. ![]()

Try not to do too much, okay? Have a blessed Tuesday!
