Okay, so it’s the first day of the brand new year: are you still on track with your New Year’s resolutions? If your goal was to exercise and get healthy: what have you done so far today to work toward that? If your goal is to get closer to God: have you read your Bible and prayed yet today? If organization is your goal: have you started on that process?
Plan to Work and Work the Plan
It’s great to have goals and resolutions, but if you don’t actually put them into action, you won’t succeed. Just listing your goals and resolutions on paper is only the first step. The second step is to devise a plan to accomplish them. Come up with a more detailed daily routine/schedule to help you incorporate your new resolutions/goals into your daily life: this is called planning to work. You need to add the ways in which your plan to make these resolutions part of your daily life into your daily life! Put them on your To-Do list. Then DO IT! Making resolutions and goals and writing them down on your to-do list is only the start - and the easy part at that: actually DOING those things is the hard part. It requires work/effort to actually get them done.
Don’t just sit there - get up and work your plan!
